This meta box provides real-time analysis and suggestions to enhance your content’s SEO. Pay attention to the readability analysis, focus keyword, and snippet preview to ensure your content is optimized for search engines.

The most important setting is for you to add the meta description for your page or post. Ensure to add a meta description for all your posts and pages on the site.

Search Appearance Configuration

One of Yoast SEO’s powerful features is the ability to determine which content appears in search results. With Yoast, you can decide what bits of content get indexed, and only these will appear in search engine results pages.

To access this feature, go to Yoast SEOSettingsContent Types. You will find settings for content types such as posts, pages, and other custom pots here.

When search engines index your site, content types such as Elements and Galleries whose visibility has been turned off will not be indexed, leaving only meaningful content to be indexed.

Yoast SEO Breadcrumb Settings

Breadcrumbs are navigational aids that display a hierarchical trail of clickable links. Breadcrumbs help users understand their current website location and facilitate easy navigation. They display a series of links representing the path from the homepage to the current page.

Other Yoast Configurations

Creating a Sitemap

A sitemap is a file that lists all of the pages on your website. It helps search engines find and index your pages more quickly and easily.

When a search engine crawls your website, it will look for your sitemap. If it finds your sitemap, it will use the information in the sitemap to crawl your website more efficiently.

Yoast SEO automatically generates an XML sitemap for your website, making it easier for search engines to crawl and index your pages.

To find your sitemap, navigate to “Yoast SEOSettingsSite Features.” Scroll to the bottom of the page to ensure the sitemap feature is turned on.
