How to fix Canonical Links for LearnDash Topics in Yoast SEO

I regularly use SEMRush for doing SEO Audits on my websites and our client websites.

I recently spotted an error after launching our learning materials using LearnDash.

The error was prominent, over 30 errors and that really concerned me. We always have 0 errors. When I investigated we found we had a Canonical URL error.

What is a Canonical URL error in SEMRush?

I was confused myself as to why this would be an issue but I assume this is because LearnDash topics and materials are often locked from the front end.

In the following screencast I show how to fix this error in both use cases of locked content behind a login or having free content for anyone to see.
