vidIQ
Stack Evaluation & Notes
Why this tool is on our radar
vidIQ is a YouTube growth tool for finding what to make and getting it found. It researches keywords, tracks competing channels and uses AI to suggest video ideas, titles, descriptions and tags, with a browser extension that shows the data right inside YouTube.
How I use it
vidIQ is how I keep track of every video across all my YouTube channels. It shows me which videos are working, which are falling behind, and why, so I can decide what to make next based on data rather than gut feel.
I also use it to watch the competition. Tracking other channels in my niches shows me what topics are gaining traction and where the gaps are, before I commit time to a new video.
It does a lot of the publishing grunt work too:
- Descriptions: a solid first draft written around the keywords people actually search for.
- Chapter markers: timestamps laid out so viewers can jump straight to the part they need.
- Thumbnails: ideas and drafts that I refine before they go live.
The result is less time on the admin around each upload and more time making the videos themselves.
