Matt Knighton

Google Business Profile, photos, website and AI answers, done for you. I’m a Google Street View Trusted Photographer.

Why now

Customers ask AI first. Then they check you out.

People ask ChatGPT, Gemini or Google “who’s good near me?” and get one answer on the spot. If those tools don’t have clear facts about your business, they recommend someone else.

  • Visitors from Google

Only 1 in 10Google visitors left

90% fewer visitors from Google search in 12 months.

An Australian self-storage business I audited this year.

  • Visitors from Google

Only 1 in 7Google visitors left

86% fewer visitors from Google search, January to July 2026 against the same months of 2024.

    Barn2, an established software business.

Katie Keith, WP Product Talk, October 2026
  • Who’s visiting

Only 1 in 14visits was a real person

440 real people a day, out of more than 6,000 visits.

The rest, about 5,500 a day, were AI tools and bots reading the site.

Where customers look

Three places to be found. I look after all three.

  • Google Maps

    Google Search and Maps

Your Google Business Profile: the panel with your hours, photos, reviews and directions. For local searches, it’s often the first thing people see.

What I do: I set it up or tidy it, take the photos and help you collect reviews.

    • ChatGPT logo
    • Gemini logo
    • Claude logo

    AI assistants

ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Google’s AI answers. They recommend businesses they can find clear, consistent facts about.

What I do: I check what they say about you now, and give them the facts to get it right.

  • Your website

Where people go to check you’re the real deal before they call. AI tools read it too.

What I do: I make sure it says plainly what you do, where, for whom and why to trust you.

Can customers find you?

Six signs they’re finding someone else.

Most business owners I talk to recognise two or three of these.

  • Not in the answerAsk ChatGPT for a business like yours in your town. It names your competitors, not you.
  • AI gets you wrongIt lists old services, the wrong town, or says it doesn’t know you.
  • Out-of-date Google listingWrong hours or an old phone number. I’ve skipped a shop because Google said it was closed. It wasn’t.
  • Few photos, few reviewsA bare Business Profile loses to the competitor with real photos and recent reviews.
  • An incomplete websitePrices, service areas and answers to common questions are missing from the site, so nobody can find them, people or AI.
  • No idea what’s workingYou can’t tell whether Google, Maps or AI sends anyone, or which of them brings the calls.

Google Business Profile

Your shop window on Google Maps.

For local searches, your Google Business Profile is often what people see first, before your website. Google’s AI answers draw on it too. Because I’m a Google Street View Trusted Photographer, I can take the photos as well as set the profile up.

  • Facts that are rightHours, services, service areas and categories filled in and kept up to date.
  • ReviewsAn easy way for happy customers to leave one, and help replying to every review.
  • Signs of lifeUpdates and offers posted to the profile, so people can see you’re open and busy.
  • One story everywhereThe same name, address and phone number on your website, Google and directories.

Done for you

You run the business. I handle the technical side.

No code, no jargon, nothing to copy and paste. You tell me about your business, I do the rest, and everything stays in your name.

Your part

  1. 1A 20-minute call about your business and your best customers
  2. 2The questions customers ask you, in their own words
  3. 3A look over the facts before anything goes live

That’s it. I do everything else.

My part

  • Asking ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google about you, and recording what they say now
  • Your Google Business Profile set up or tidied, with new photos
  • Your website rewritten where it matters: what you do, where, prices and answers to common questions
  • The technical side, so Google and AI tools can read your site properly
  • Google and Bing’s free tools set up, so you can see who finds you
  • A plain-English summary of what changed, and what AI says afterwards

How it works

See what customers see, then see the difference.

Four steps, done for you. AI answers change from day to day, so you see the before and after for yourself.

  1. Step 1

    Talk

A 20-minute call about your business, your best customers and the towns you work in.

  2. Step 2

    Check

I ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google what they know about you, and look over your Business Profile and website.

  3. Step 3

    Fix

Profile, photos, website and the technical side, done for you. You check the facts before anything goes live.

  4. Step 4

    Ask again

The same questions go back to the same tools, so you can see the difference for yourself.

The working example

I do it for my own business before I do it for yours.

Everything I’d set up for you runs on MRK WP.

  • Google Maps

    A Google Business Profile

MRK WP has its own, and every page of this site points to it, so Google knows the website and the business on Maps are one and the same.

See it on Google(opens in a new tab)
    • ChatGPT logo
    • Gemini logo
    • Claude logo

    Open to AI tools

ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Google are all allowed to read this site, so they can use it in their answers.

  • MRK WP

    Facts in one place

Every page tells Google and AI tools who I am, where I work and what I offer, in a form they read without guessing.

Local search

Found in your town, by a local.

When someone in Orange asks for a builder, Google Maps and AI answer with businesses they can place in Orange. I make sure yours is one of them. I’m based in Parkes and come to you across the Central West, camera included. Elsewhere in Australia, I do the rest remotely.

See local work in the Central West

Want to know what AI says about you?

Tell me your business and town. I’ll ask AI who it recommends.

Add your business name, the town you work in and what customers usually ask you for. I’ll ask a few AI tools who they’d recommend, and reply with what I’d fix first.

Questions

Getting found, answered.

How do I get my business recommended by ChatGPT?

Make it easy for AI tools to find clear, consistent facts about you: what you do, where, for whom, and proof that you’re good at it. That means a complete Google Business Profile, a website that says it plainly, and reviews. I do the work; you check the facts.

Do I need to understand the technical side?

No. You tell me about the business and check the facts. I handle the website, the Google Business Profile and the technical setup, and explain what changed in plain English. There’s nothing for you to copy, paste or install.

Why does my Google Business Profile matter?

For local searches, it’s often the first thing people see on Google and Maps: your hours, photos, reviews and directions. Google’s AI answers draw on it too. A complete profile with real photos and recent reviews gives people a reason to choose you.

Can you take the photos?

Yes. I’m a Google Street View Trusted Photographer. I come to you across the Central West to photograph your premises, team and work for your Business Profile and website, including a 360° Street View tour that people can walk through on Google Maps.

Can you guarantee ChatGPT will recommend my business?

No, and be wary of anyone who does. AI answers change with the question, the tool and the day. What I can do is make sure the facts about you are out there, clear and consistent, then show you what changed.

How is this different from SEO?

It builds on it. SEO was about ranking in a list of links. Now people often get one answer, from Google, Maps or an AI assistant, so the goal is to be the business that answer names.

How will I know it’s working?

I record what the AI tools say about you before and after. Your Business Profile also shows how many people called, asked for directions or visited your website, and I set up Google and Bing’s free tools so you can see who finds you.

What does it cost?

It depends on how much needs doing: tidying a Business Profile and taking photos is a smaller job than rewriting a website. After a 20-minute call, you get a written quote before any work starts.

Let’s figure it out together

You don’t have to build alone.

A little guidance. A good conversation. A better next step.
