Add an additional Icon to Extra Icons Plugin
Within the Extra Icons toolkit you have access to over 379 icons for your header and footer links.
These can link to anything that has an icon in Font Awesome.
In this how to we cover adding an extra icon using a filter.
To use this you need to have a child theme.

In this how to we create a filter to add an amazon icon to your Divi Header and Footer. It iwll be populated with the value configured in your Divi Control Panel in the WordPress admin.
- Open your Functions.php file
In your child theme you need to edit the functions.php file.
This is the default configuration for any child theme.
- Copy our Code from Gist
Copy the code from our gist or get it from above this how to document.
- Paste the code into your functions file
Paste this code into your functions.php file making sure that you do not include the PHP tags.
- Open your WordPress dashboard
After saving the file open your WordPress dashboard. Go to the “Divi” menu and select “theme options”
- Scroll down to social media
As you scroll down you will get to some options to show or hide your social media links. The new Amazon option will be available here. As you scroll further down the page you will see the text area for adding your link.
- Populate the fields
Populate your new field with the desired URL. This icon will now appear in your header or footer depending on your top level Divi Configuration.
As part of this we would recommend you experiment with other social icons.
Any fa-brand name can be used from Font Awesome from the included version and settings.
